Gears of War 3 Lambent

The Lambent. Our new friends in Gears of War 3. These creatures were actually introduced in the books from what I've seen and are essentially regular Locust on steroids. They are bigger, stronger and have actually been fighting the Locust before the storyline of the first game started. The Lambent are apparently the mutated Locust that spend to long in immulsion. Their armor and weapons are similar to the Locust and for the most part they carry the same tactics when fighting enemies. Really the only example of a Lambent creature is from Gears 2 towards the end with the Lambent Brumak. As seen in the game, the Brumak mutates and becomes extremely powerful, being able to literally take several hits from the Hammer of Dawn. These super powerful enemies will most likely be the main enemy for the rest of the series. As for the Locust and what remains of the humans it may come down to an uneasy alliance to fight back the Lambent hordes. Who knows, but Gears of War 3, is gonna be good... if they fix the damn multiplayer.
